Roma are striving for better education and employment

The Director of the Employment and Entrepreneurship Programme Ms Petya Goolamallee took part in an interview broadcast on Nova TV, pointing out that according to a study by the Trust for Social Achievement about 43% of Roma in Bulgaria are employed, the share of those with secondary education has doubled, and the unemployment rate in the Roma community has halved. Employment has risen by more than 40%, and 75% of Roma surveyed say they work on contract.
