DIRECTIVE (EU) 2019/1937 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 23 October 2019 on the protection of persons who report breaches of Union law (“the Directive”) is part of the European Union’s strategy to encourage whistleblowers to report certain wrongdoing in their workplace. Member States are required to transpose the Directive into national law by 17 December 2021.
HR departments will undoubtedly be directly involved in the discussions and implementation of the relevant document. We therefore invite you to a seminar/discussion to interpret together the EU Directive submission in detail and to facilitate as much as possible the implementation process in companies.
With the help of Atty. Martin Dimitrov from Tsvetkova & Partners Law Firm, we will discuss the implementation and interpretation of the Directive, as well as several useful questions concerning its substance:
– Who can report
– Whistleblower protection conditions
– Internal and external whistleblowing
– Public disclosure
– Receipt and follow-up of whistleblowers
– Implementation of the Directive in Bulgaria
We look forward to welcoming you on Tuesday 7 December 2021 from 13:00 to 14:00 online on the Zoom platform. Access details will be available immediately before the event.
The seminar is part of a series of online events in which we will have the opportunity to discuss, exchange experiences and share successful practices during 2021. Our guest speakers will be Bulgarian and international experts with whom we will look for working solutions on current HR topics. The seminar series is organized in partnership with the project “First Steps for Professional Development”.
Admission is open free of charge to all members of BAUH, as well as partners of the Earning by Learning project and registration is required, which you can do by filling in the form below until 06 December 2021. For non-BAUH members the participation fee is BGN 30 including VAT.
