From the inside outwards – innovation in times of crisis – the first of our series of webinars has been successfully launched

We have successfully launched the first of a series of webinars focusing on the strategic importance of employee, organizational and societal development in the context of the Covid crisis.

With our guests Sasha Bezuhanova and Darina Georgieva, we chose to talk not so much about the problems, but about the opportunities created by the crisis. It was seen as a catalyst for a long-started change in work processes, the need for support and social responsibility on a corporate and individual level.

Recognizing the value of the knowledge capital that every small and large company possesses, we have looked at corporate social responsibility not only as a financial resource, but also as knowledge transfer and mentoring support.

The image of large and successful companies is largely built on their contribution to society, and this type of solidarity makes them a more attractive workplace for highly qualified personnel – young people have long been looking for not just a company, but a work environment. The new generation of talent has a need to give and “give back” back to society. Non-governmental organizations like TSA should and can be a bridge between businesses and vulnerable groups.

Emphasis was also placed on the application of innovative approaches to work with economically disadvantaged youth. Building the capacity of a diverse workforce, an entrepreneurial culture, as well as supporting young people were shared as aspects of investing in the future. And the opening of such a process in the Roma communities will have very broad social effects – a new profile of leadership and authority will be given the start. And that’s what gives us this broader focus on CSR (Corporate social responsibility) nowadays.

The significant aspects that Sasha Bezuhanova and Darina Georgieva emphasized in this conversation-discussion are part of the activities of the project “First steps for professional development” – building the capacity of young people from vulnerable groups, and their subsequent employment.
