At the end of June, on the 25th and 26th the second of a series of trainings with vocational schools was carried out under Еarning by Learning project managed by the Trust for Social Achievement Foundation, took place in Plovdiv on June 25 and June 25. The training was attended by 17 people, teachers and non-teaching staff of the Vocational School of Chemical and Food Technologies, Plovdiv. The participants were 17 participants from the Food and Nutrition and Food Processing School in Pazardzhik.
The aim of the Embracing Diversity training is to support and facilitate teachers in their work with diverse communities and people, as well as to strengthen their sensitivity to issues related to identity, ethnicity, culture, processes of developing stereotypes and prejudices. Aware of the process of prejudice and its impact on children, the key objective of the training is to improve teachers’ skills in creating a supportive environment for students.
Through the sharing of personal experiences and role plays, participants went through topics such as identity, stereotyping and prejudice, and the culture and needs of minority and vulnerable students.
The training was organized under Еarning by Learning project funded by the European Economic Area, within the Youth Employment Programme.
